Onions: No, you can't just "pick them off!"

Onions are the pigeon of the culinary world. They're loud, obnoxious flavor bombs, and even if you shoo them away, they leave their calling card spread out over a surface area that defies the laws of physics and nature. I don't care what you say, you can't just "pick them off." Again, the onion flavor...is....still...there. Once you put 'em in there, 100% contamination. Now that you know how onion soup is made, want some?

Why yes, I did choose a mature and very cerebral subject for my first TVpaint/2d learning experience. Classy +1.

Mistborn: Steel Inquisitor

I'm reading a really cool book series called Mistborn, there are a lot of interesting ideas in it, so far I am enjoying it very much! This dude is what I imagine the Steel Inquisitors look like. They have super creepy stakes driven through their eyes right out the back of their skulls! I think this might be the most gruesome thing I ever modeled, haha!

Fire Chariot Girl

Some sunday doodling on ipad using Procreate. This is CheriEtte...heh. Inspired by crazy hockey goalie padding :) I havent had mch time for personal stuffs, but I've kinda latched onto this idea, and I've got a hankerin' ta build her and animate the transformation sequence. She jumps up in the air and clicks her heels together and POOF! When she lands she's in a firey chariot...CHAAARGE! I'm thinking maybe she has a cool fire whip, and maybe a mace somewhere stashed in that chariot...and I feel very strongly she is the sort to yell "BOOP!" when she uses the flaming mace.

Derpy new year from me, and Plop. I think that's what this guy's name is. He's a....well... I don't know..the first dinoderp of 2013? Hoping 2013 will be really great, cause 2012 has herped its last derp...thank goodness :)

Merry Christmas Friends!

Hi everybody! Long time no post, huh? I just wanted to pop in to say that whatever neat holiday stuffs you're celebrating this time 'o year, I hope you're all having good times!  Here is a bit of holiday zbrush shenanigans. The Zbrush fur settings are super fun to experiment with...I think I've decided since this experiment with fur in zbrush everything from now on will be fuzzy, LOL! 2013 the year of fuzzy robots?

Eel Pirate

Yarr! It's Eelshanks Mcflintlock, the eel pirate thing. He sort of evolved from a session playing with dynamesh in Zbrush, then I started experimenting with extracting mesh and stuff, and tharrrr he was. for the life of me I couldn't find a reference photo of the back-side of a flintlock, so I put metal plates with screws, similar to the front...later I was finally told by a friend that it's all wood...oops! I was thinking about fixing that and adding a starfish or two to the base...but I think it's time to move on to the next zbrush adventure.

The Beefcake Matador

 Here's another zbrush doodle. I'm torn between calling him "El Guapo" or "Carne Asada." He is a matador...man-tador? I was just going to leave him in the unpainted state and move on, but I thought I'd throw some colors on him this weekend and try out some of the different materials in Zbrush. Ole!
